The webinar was really informative! Thank You! I hope I can use the info. I'm trying to go into Proofreading, but I'm overwhelmed by what I still need to learn. I don't have a College Degree, so I feel like I'm working from the ground up.

Perhaps try to focus on the skills and learning you do have rather than those you don't, and work forward from there. You might find my introductory editorial business planning book useful once you've had a delve around on the rest of the blog, and the marketing one too. They're broad-based and aimed at new starters who need direction, and they provide frameworks that help the reader to make the right decisions for them based on their skills and circumstances.

It's tough for anyone, editor or not, to build a business. Creating your own plan will help you map things - what needs to be done, when it will be done, how it will be done, and why it will be done. Otherwise it can feel like a rabbit hole!
